Revitalizing our Economy

"As Mercer County continues to lose population, we need to create economic opportunities that will bring people home to Mercer County and attract new residents. We must establish an economic environment that includes jobs for everyone. We need to make the most out of our low cost of living, safe communities, good schools, and recreational opportunities. My job as your next commissioner is to work with community and business leaders to make certain Mercer County can attract employers and families by keeping taxes low and providing excellent public services to our residents." - Ann Coleman

"I'm running to advocate for Mercer County as a good place to live, work, play, and raise a family. I want to keep taxes low, encourage economic development, and keep our youth excited about a future in Mercer County. We also must defend our veterans and first responders."

Issues

Revitalizing the Economy

Ann is a strong advocate for creating an environment for job creation by encouraging

economic development especially for small employers and entrepreneurs. We must

support job creators and work together to make sure that Mercer County has family-

sustaining jobs. Ann will make sure that promoting economic development is one of

Mercer County’s top priorities.

Keeping Taxes Low

Ann is committed to keeping taxes low in Mercer County. Hardworking Mercer County

residents deserve elected officials who will make fiscally responsible decisions that will

control costs and keep taxes low.

Property Tax Reassessment

The current Board of Commissioners voted to authorize a reassessment of property values across Mercer County. This process has already begun. Ann will ensure that Mercer County residents are kept informed of the process and have the ability to appeal any decisions.

Election Integrity

The right to vote is one of America’s most treasured rights. Ann will work hard to

guarantee that Mercer County voters can continue to trust that their votes will be

counted.

Protecting Our Communities

Mercer County residents deserve to be safe in their homes. Ann will support local law

enforcement professionals and first responders to ensure that families are safe.

Fighting the Opioid Crisis

Too many families are suffering from the opioid crisis. Ann is committed to working with healthcare professionals and law enforcement to find real solutions to the opioid epidemic.

Protecting the 2nd Amendment

Ann believes that the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms is absolute.

Protecting the Sanctity of Life

Ann is a proud pro-life candidate and she understands that this includes protecting the mother’s life and continuing to care for the child after it is born.
